My mortgage officer has been asking for this and that. I'm working and don't have time. Do I have to jump when they say jump?
Answers for Buyers
Don't Ignore the Requirements!
The loan officer is not doing this for her health although it will help his bottom line. Know what is
expected of you and take care of it. For instance, a Certificate of
Eligibility is required to move forward on a VA loan. That's something
you must handle yourself. If the lender asks you for something, get it
to them immediately! Remember you are on a timeline to get the loan in place and close on the property or the contract will be null and void which means the seller has the right to sell to someone else just as soon as yours is done. So cooperate to the best of your ability and go the extra mile. More than likely, everyone else associated with the deal is stretching themselves to the limit too.
