I don't think my agent is doing their job to help me get to closing! What can I do?

Don't Go It Alone!
Maybe we are going against the grain here by admitting that sometimes an agent isn't doing their job.
If you're working with an agent, it's the agent's duty to help you make it to closing. Don't let them slack off. Agents are people too and sometimes don't do what they need to.
Talk with the agent and honestly tell them what you expect of them. If that doesn't work, you have every right to talk with the broker. Most brokers will be aghast and immediately talk with the agent or reassign you to another agent of your choosing and satisfaction.
